Upper estimated price slightly exceeded

The work Figures in a rowing boat on a river with a castle ruin beyond by William Glover was sold in the British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in London in September 2001. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 350.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 376.00 (€ 607.08). Admittedly, works by William Glover have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle in a Highland landscape in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,748.50 (€ 3,955.85).

Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen

Die Arbeit Figures in a rowing boat on a river with a castle ruin beyond von William Glover wurde im September 2001 in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 350,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 376,00 (€ 607,08) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Glover auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle in a Highland landscape im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.748,50 (€ 3.955,85).
