Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2001 a collector was able to acquire the work Cattle on a the riverbank in a wooded landscape by William Glover for GBP 587.50 (€ 947.99). This price was achieved in the auction British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Glover have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Cattle in a Highland landscape in October 2004 with an auction result of GBP 2,748.50 (€ 3,955.85).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2001 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Cattle on a the riverbank in a wooded landscape von William Glover für GBP 587,50 (€ 947,99) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British and Continental Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Glover auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Cattle in a Highland landscape im Oktober 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.748,50 (€ 3.955,85).
