Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Hagar and Ishmael by William Gale was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2002. It achieved a price of GBP 998.75 (€ 1,563.99), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Gale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Die Klagemauer in Jerusalem. 1863. in March 2009 with an auction result of CHF 318,000.00 (€ 210,449.29).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Hagar and Ishmael von William Gale kam im November 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 998,75 (€ 1.563,99) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Gale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Die Klagemauer in Jerusalem. 1863. im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 318.000,00 (€ 210.449,29).
