Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Christening Day by William Gale was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 878.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Gale achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Die Klagemauer in Jerusalem. 1863. in March 2009 with an auction result of CHF 318,000.00 (€ 210,449.29).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Christening Day von William Gale kam im Juli 2006 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 600,00 (€ 878,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Gale erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Die Klagemauer in Jerusalem. 1863. im März 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CHF 318.000,00 (€ 210.449,29).
