In December 2007 Christies in London held the auction British, Continental & Russian Pictures, which included the work The Heat Of The Day by William Frank Calderon. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,717.66), 33% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Frank Calderon - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rabbit fanciers, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,219.75).

Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in London die Auktion British, Continental & Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Heat Of The Day von William Frank Calderon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.717,66) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von William Frank Calderon mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Rabbit fanciers beobachtet, die im Januar diesen Jahres für USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.219,75) versteigert wurde.
