Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2005 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work Campo Rosso; and Another similar by William Frank Calderon. The price achieved of GBP 480.00 (€ 701.20) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Frank Calderon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rabbit fanciers in January this year with an auction result of USD 8,925.00 (€ 8,219.75).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Campo Rosso; and Another similar von William Frank Calderon zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 480,00 (€ 701,20) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 400,00 – 600,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Frank Calderon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rabbit fanciers im Januar diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 8.925,00 (€ 8.219,75).
