A top price for William Francis Longstaff - as previously expected
In September 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Victorian Paintings, which included the work The outdoor girl by William Francis Longstaff. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,584.98) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The outdoor girl is the most expensive artwork by William Francis Longstaff that we have observed at auctions so far.
