Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 675.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Francis Longstaff - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The outdoor girl, which sold at auction in September 2005 for GBP 1,080.00 (€ 1,584.98).
