Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A rustic beauty by William F. Hardy was sold in the AT HOME-BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES AND WORKS ON PAPER auction at Christies in London in June 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 411.25 (€ 590.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by William F. Hardy have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in February 2002 the work Wild Flowers was auctioned for GBP 446.50 (€ 728.64).
