Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Bonhams in London held the auction The Marine Sale, which included the work Fisherfolk and boats on Peel Beach looking towards Peel Castle, Isle of Man by William Edward Webb. The price achieved of GBP 3,825.00 (€ 4,456.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Edward Webb have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Quayside Fish Market At Douglas, Isle Of Man in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 17,925.00 (€ 25,785.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion The Marine Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Fisherfolk and boats on Peel Beach looking towards Peel Castle, Isle of Man von William Edward Webb zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.825,00 (€ 4.456,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Edward Webb auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Quayside Fish Market At Douglas, Isle Of Man im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 25.785,02).
