Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A glimpse of port; A busy street scene, a pair each 25 x 21cm (9 13/16 x 8 1/4in) (2) by William Edward Webb was auctioned at Bonhams in London in November this year. The price achieved of GBP 1,152.00 (€ 1,334.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Edward Webb achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Quayside Fish Market At Douglas, Isle Of Man in November 2004 with an auction result of GBP 17,925.00 (€ 25,785.02).

Die Arbeit A glimpse of port; A busy street scene, a pair each 25 x 21cm (9 13/16 x 8 1/4in) (2) von William Edward Webb kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.152,00 (€ 1.334,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Edward Webb erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Quayside Fish Market At Douglas, Isle Of Man im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 17.925,00 (€ 25.785,02).
