Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Macleod could be acquired at Christies in London in November 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work The Road From Inveroran, Scotland changed hands for GBP 180.00 (€ 264.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Macleod achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of The City Of Washington From The Anacostia Shore in October 2018 with an auction result of USD 312,500.00 (€ 275,767.74).
