Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2000 Christies in London held the auction ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS, which included the work The Look out by William Christian Symons. The price achieved of GBP 352.50 (€ 561.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Christian Symons achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Anchor'S Weighed, Remember Me in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,619.00).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion ORIGINAL ILLUSTRATIONS AND PRINTED BOOKS durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Look out von William Christian Symons zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 352,50 (€ 561,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Christian Symons erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Anchor'S Weighed, Remember Me im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 24.000,00 (€ 35.619,00).
