A top price for William Christian Symons - as previously expected
In December 2006 Sothebys in London held the auction Victorian & Edwardian Art, which included the work The Anchor'S Weighed, Remember Me by William Christian Symons. The price achieved of GBP 24,000.00 (€ 35,619.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, The Anchor'S Weighed, Remember Me is the most expensive artwork by William Christian Symons that we have observed at auctions so far.
