In the THE BLEASEL COLLECTION OF AUSTRALIAN PAINTINGS auction, the work William Buelow Gould (1803-1853) sold for AUD 14,340.00 (€ 8,779.37) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Buelow Gould; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life sold at auction in March 2005 with the realized price of AUD 16,730.00 (€ 10,242.59).
