Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by William Buelow Gould achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Melbourne in March 2005. In the THE BLEASEL COLLECTION OF AUSTRALIAN PAINTINGS auction, the work Botanical Studies sold for AUD 14,340.00 (€ 8,779.37) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by William Buelow Gould; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Still Life sold at auction in March 2005 with the realized price of AUD 16,730.00 (€ 10,242.59).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Buelow Gould erzielte im März 2005 bei Christies in Melbourne einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion THE BLEASEL COLLECTION OF AUSTRALIAN PAINTINGS wurde die Arbeit Botanical Studies für AUD 14.340,00 (€ 8.779,37) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 7.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von William Buelow Gould; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Still Life im März 2005 mit dem Hammerpreis von AUD 16.730,00 (€ 10.242,59).
