Auction result misses estimated price range
In July 2013 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life with flowers and books on a table by William Brooker for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,427.54). This price was achieved in the auction Modern British Art Day Sale at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by William Brooker have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work White Still Life in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 38,143.25).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli 2013 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Still Life with flowers and books on a table von William Brooker für GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.427,54) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern British Art Day Sale bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Brooker auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit White Still Life im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 38.143,25).
