Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William H. Bradley could be acquired at Christies in London in February 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction, the work Portrait of a lady, bust-length, wearing a lace bonnet changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 460.24) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by William H. Bradley have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Haymakers beside the river in March 2001 with an auction result of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,464.77).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von William H. Bradley konnte im Februar 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES wechselte die Arbeit Portrait of a lady, bust-length, wearing a lace bonnet für GBP 293,75 (€ 460,24) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William H. Bradley auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Haymakers beside the river im März 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.527,50 (€ 2.464,77).
