The »bidding war« ended at GBP 900.00 (€ 1,333.86), 29% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Bowyer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Walpole House, which sold at auction in May 2020 for GBP 4,062.00 (€ 4,509.27).
