It achieved a price of USD 988,000.00 (€ 810,234.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William-Adolphe Bouguereau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Jeunesse De Bacchus in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 20,766,000.00 (€ 18,625,885.73).
