Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Jeune bergère debout by William-Adolphe Bouguereau was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in January last year. The price achieved of USD 915,400.00 (€ 816,446.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800,000.00 – 1,200,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William-Adolphe Bouguereau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Jeunesse De Bacchus in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 20,766,000.00 (€ 18,625,885.73).

Die Arbeit Jeune bergère debout von William-Adolphe Bouguereau kam im Januar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 915.400,00 (€ 816.446,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800.000,00 – 1.200.000,00 angegeben worden.
