Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2021 a collector was able to acquire the work Au bord du ruisseau by William-Adolphe Bouguereau for USD 988,000.00 (€ 814,173.88). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William-Adolphe Bouguereau achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Jeunesse De Bacchus in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 20,766,000.00 (€ 18,625,885.73).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2021 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Au bord du ruisseau von William-Adolphe Bouguereau für USD 988.000,00 (€ 814.173,88) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Part I bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William-Adolphe Bouguereau erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Jeunesse De Bacchus im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.766.000,00 (€ 18.625.885,73).
