Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem Steelink could be acquired at Christies in London in April 2004 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and Continental Pictures auction, the work Sheep At The Edge Of A Pond changed hands for GBP 597.50 (€ 536.81) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 600.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Willem Steelink have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Sheep Going To The Stable in March 2007 with an auction result of EUR 3,600.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Steelink konnte im April 2004 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and Continental Pictures wechselte die Arbeit Sheep At The Edge Of A Pond für GBP 597,50 (€ 536,81) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 600,00 – 800,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Steelink auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Sheep Going To The Stable im März 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 3.600,00.
