Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Ni Gusti Compiang Mawar, Reclining by Willem Gerard Hofker was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015. The price achieved of HKD 1,750,000.00 (€ 204,446.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,400,000.00 – 2,200,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Gerard Hofker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar, which sold at auction in November 2012 for EUR 781,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Ni Gusti Compiang Mawar, Reclining von Willem Gerard Hofker wurde im Oktober 2015 in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Asian Art Evening Sale bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.750.000,00 (€ 204.446,66) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.400.000,00 – 2.200.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Gerard Hofker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar beobachtet, die im November 2012 für EUR 781.000,00 versteigert wurde.
