This artwork by Willem Gerard Hofker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Ni Goesti Madé Toewi at the Temple Gate sold for HKD 725,000.00 (€ 68,738.06) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 400,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem Gerard Hofker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar in November 2012 with an auction result of EUR 781,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem Gerard Hofker erzielte im November 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Ni Goesti Madé Toewi at the Temple Gate für HKD 725.000,00 (€ 68.738,06) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 400.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem Gerard Hofker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ni Goesti Kompiang Mawar im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 781.000,00.
