Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work The Sacrifice Of Manoah by Willem de Poorter. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,476.50) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem de Poorter achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery in January 2020 with an auction result of USD 920,000.00 (€ 829,351.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Sacrifice Of Manoah von Willem de Poorter zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.476,50) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem de Poorter erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ And The Woman Taken In Adultery im Januar 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 920.000,00 (€ 829.351,84).
