The work "Woman with corset and long hair". by Willem de Kooning was sold in the Modern Art + Design auction at Bukowski in Stockholm in November this year. The »bidding war« ended at SEK 85,000.00 (€ 7,465.16), 70% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Willem de Kooning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled XXV in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 66,327,500.00 (€ 62,703,252.03).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 70 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit "Woman with corset and long hair". von Willem de Kooning wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Modern Art + Design bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von SEK 85.000,00 (€ 7.465,16) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Willem de Kooning erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled XXV im November 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 66.327.500,00 (€ 62.703.252,03).
