A top price for Willem de Kooning
In November 2016 Christies in New York held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Untitled XXV by Willem de Kooning. The »bidding war« ended at USD 66,327,500.00 (€ 62,703,252.03), 33% above the upper estimate. With this result, Untitled XXV is even the most expensive work of art by Willem de Kooning that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis für Willem de Kooning
Im November 2016 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled XXV von Willem de Kooning zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 66.327.500,00 (€ 62.703.252,03) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Untitled XXV sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Willem de Kooning, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
