In May 2018 Sothebys in London held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work Italianate Landscape With Shepherds by Willem de Heusch. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 30,000.00 (€ 34,161.95), 50% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Willem de Heusch; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Italianate Landscape With Shepherds sold at auction in April 2015 with the realized price of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,835.87).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2018 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Italianate Landscape With Shepherds von Willem de Heusch zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 30.000,00 (€ 34.161,95) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Willem de Heusch; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Italianate Landscape With Shepherds im April 2015 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.835,87).
