Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Willem de Heusch could be acquired at Christies in London in October 2001 for an unexpectedly low price. In the OLD MASTER PICTURES auction, the work An extensive landscape with a shepherd and his flock at a fountain changed hands for GBP 3,525.00 (€ 5,696.91) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Willem de Heusch have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Italianate Landscape With Shepherds in April 2015 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,835.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Willem de Heusch konnte im Oktober 2001 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES wechselte die Arbeit An extensive landscape with a shepherd and his flock at a fountain für GBP 3.525,00 (€ 5.696,91) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem de Heusch auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Italianate Landscape With Shepherds im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.835,87).
