Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Werner Drewes achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Paris in May this year. In the American Art auction, the work Confined Buoyancy sold for USD 16,640.00 (€ 15,618.55) - well above the upper estimate of USD 8,000.00. Admittedly, works by Werner Drewes have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Expectation of New Events in November last year with an auction result of USD 75,975.00 (€ 73,597.79).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Werner Drewes erzielte im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Art wurde die Arbeit Confined Buoyancy für USD 16.640,00 (€ 15.618,55) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 8.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Werner Drewes auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Expectation of New Events im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 75.975,00 (€ 73.597,79).
