This artwork by Wenzel Tornøe achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year. In the Paintings, furniture and varia auction, the work An open landscape in cloudy weather sold for DKK 8,500.00 (€ 1,140.26) - well above the estimate of DKK 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wenzel Tornøe achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work “Fra en Systue” in March this year with an auction result of DKK 180,000.00 (€ 24,155.63).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wenzel Tornøe erzielte im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia wurde die Arbeit An open landscape in cloudy weather für DKK 8.500,00 (€ 1.140,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von DKK 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wenzel Tornøe erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit “Fra en Systue” im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 180.000,00 (€ 24.155,63).
