This artwork by Wen Zhenmeng achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2015. In the Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas auction, the work Five-Character Couplet In Running Script sold for HKD 295,000.00 (€ 34,463.87) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Wen Zhenmeng; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Summer Landscape sold at auction in October 2017 with the realized price of HKD 330,400.00 (€ 36,364.42).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Zhenmeng erzielte im Oktober 2015 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Painting and Calligraphy from the Four Seas wurde die Arbeit Five-Character Couplet In Running Script für HKD 295.000,00 (€ 34.463,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Wen Zhenmeng; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Summer Landscape im Oktober 2017 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 330.400,00 (€ 36.364,42).
