Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Springs Among Mountains by Wei Zixi was worth HKD 200,600.00 (€ 21,166.51) to a buyer in April 2018. This price was achieved in the auction Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Wei Zixi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mount Huang In Clouds in April this year with an auction result of HKD 84,000.00 (€ 85,780.43).

Die Arbeit Springs Among Mountains von Wei Zixi war einem Käufer im April 2018 HKD 200.600,00 (€ 21.166,51) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wei Zixi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mount Huang In Clouds im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 84.000,00 (€ 85.780,43).
