Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Forests Blanketed in Red by Wei Zixi was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 50,400.00 (€ 5,983.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wei Zixi achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mount Huang In Clouds in April this year with an auction result of HKD 84,000.00 (€ 85,780.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Forests Blanketed in Red von Wei Zixi wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.400,00 (€ 5.983,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wei Zixi erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mount Huang In Clouds im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 84.000,00 (€ 85.780,43).
