This artwork by Wei Zixi achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. In the Fine Chinese Modern Paintings auction, the work Pine Mountain sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,736.84) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wei Zixi have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Mount Huang In Clouds in April this year with an auction result of HKD 84,000.00 (€ 85,780.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wei Zixi erzielte im Mai 2019 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings wurde die Arbeit Pine Mountain für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.736,84) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wei Zixi auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Mount Huang In Clouds im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 84.000,00 (€ 85.780,43).
