Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wei Zixi achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017. In the Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Landscape sold for HKD 354,000.00 (€ 38,961.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 120,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Zixi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mount Huang In Clouds, which sold at auction in April this year for HKD 84,000.00 (€ 85,780.43).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wei Zixi erzielte im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 354.000,00 (€ 38.961,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 120.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Zixi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Mount Huang In Clouds beobachtet, die im April diesen Jahres für HKD 84.000,00 (€ 85.780,43) versteigert wurde.
