Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Golden Waterway by Wei Zhaotao was sold in the FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Hong Kong in April 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 41,125.00 (€ 5,941.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wei Zhaotao have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in October 2000 the work Landscape was auctioned for HKD 64,625.00 (€ 9,763.05).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Golden Waterway von Wei Zhaotao wurde im April 2001 in der Auktion FINE MODERN AND CONTEMPORARY CHINESE PAINTINGS bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 41.125,00 (€ 5.941,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Wei Zhaotao konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Oktober 2000 die Arbeit Landscape für HKD 64.625,00 (€ 9.763,05) versteigert.
