Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Armenian Coastal Landscape by Wartan Makhokian was auctioned at Sothebys in London in December 2014. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 9,654.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Wartan Makhokian have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2006 the work Sotrmy Seas was auctioned for GBP 12,600.00 (€ 18,231.99).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Armenian Coastal Landscape von Wartan Makhokian kam im Dezember 2014 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 9.654,99) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Wartan Makhokian konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im Juni 2006 die Arbeit Sotrmy Seas für GBP 12.600,00 (€ 18.231,99) versteigert.
