The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 896.25 (€ 1,268.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Warren Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures and beached fishing vessels on a beach, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,994.12).
