Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2005 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Watercolours, which included the work Cattle Watering By The River Conway, North Wales by Warren Williams. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,200.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,956.32). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Warren Williams - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures and beached fishing vessels on a beach, which sold at auction in March 2002 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,994.12).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2005 führte Christies in London die Auktion British and Continental Watercolours durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cattle Watering By The River Conway, North Wales von Warren Williams zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.200,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.956,32) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Warren Williams mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures and beached fishing vessels on a beach beobachtet, die im März 2002 für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.994,12) versteigert wurde.
