Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work White Wolf by Wang Yuping was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2007, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 118,750.00 (€ 10,588.02). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yuping achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dong Mengyang (Painted In 2013) in April this year with an auction result of HKD 1,200,000.00 (€ 1,225,434.78).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit White Wolf von Wang Yuping im Oktober 2007 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 118.750,00 (€ 10.588,02) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuping erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dong Mengyang (Painted In 2013) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.200.000,00 (€ 1.225.434,78).
