Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu by Wang Yuan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014. It changed hands for a price of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,504.19) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 35,000.00 – 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhangcao, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,133.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Xingshu von Wang Yuan kam im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.504,19) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 35.000,00 – 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhangcao beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.133,50) versteigert wurde.
