Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy Couplet In Caoshu by Wang Yuan was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2016. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 4,224.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Yuan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy Couplet In Zhangcao, which sold at auction in October 2017 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,133.50).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Caoshu von Wang Yuan kam im April 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 4.224,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Yuan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Zhangcao beobachtet, die im Oktober 2017 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.133,50) versteigert wurde.
