Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Early Autumn in Mount Emei by Wang Yong was sold in the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in March last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 35,280.00 (€ 4,061.35), 18% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Yong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Calligraphy in Cursive Script - Poem by Li Bai in November 2018 with an auction result of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 84,650.71).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Early Autumn in Mount Emei von Wang Yong wurde im März letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 35.280,00 (€ 4.061,35) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Yong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Calligraphy in Cursive Script - Poem by Li Bai im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 84.650,71).
