Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Wucius achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2020. In the Fine Chinese Paintings auction, the work Illustrated Poem sold for HKD 94,500.00 (€ 10,466.64) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Wucius have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flourishing Spring in October 2020 with an auction result of HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,613.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Wucius erzielte im Oktober 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Illustrated Poem für HKD 94.500,00 (€ 10.466,64) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Wucius auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flourishing Spring im Oktober 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.613,21).
