Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2017 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Ink Art, which included the work New Chinese Clothes Iii by Wang Tiande. The price achieved of HKD 162,500.00 (€ 19,180.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 180,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Tiande - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tranquil Vista, which sold at auction in September 2019 for CNY 576,000.00 (€ 73,894.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2017 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Ink Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit New Chinese Clothes Iii von Wang Tiande zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 162.500,00 (€ 19.180,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 180.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Tiande mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tranquil Vista beobachtet, die im September 2019 für CNY 576.000,00 (€ 73.894,91) versteigert wurde.
