This artwork by Wang Tiande achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in March 2021. In the Contemporary Art Asia auction, the work New Chinese Clothes I sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 9,047.94) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Tiande have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tranquil Vista in September 2019 with an auction result of CNY 576,000.00 (€ 73,894.91).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Tiande erzielte im März 2021 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia wurde die Arbeit New Chinese Clothes I für USD 10.625,00 (€ 9.047,94) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Tiande auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tranquil Vista im September 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CNY 576.000,00 (€ 73.894,91).
