In September 2014 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Couplet In Seal Script by Wang Ti. The »bidding war« ended at USD 10,625.00 (€ 8,413.84), 52% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Ti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Seal Script, which sold at auction in March 2014 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 19,960.80).

Im September 2014 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script von Wang Ti zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 10.625,00 (€ 8.413,84) und damit 52% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Ti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Seal Script beobachtet, die im März 2014 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 19.960,80) versteigert wurde.
