Each leaf inscribed and signed and last leaf dated summer, renzi year (1852), with a total of twelve seals of the artist One collector’s seal

Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In May last year Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Ladies by Wang Su. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 200,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 201,600.00 (€ 23,934.25). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Su achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children at Play in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ladies von Wang Su zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 200.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 201.600,00 (€ 23.934,25) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Su erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children at Play im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.725.000,00 (€ 432.031,04).
